Western Wood Preservers Institute (WWPI) is a non-profit trade association representing the wood preservative industry in western North America. WWPI provides educational information to assist architects in the proper selection of pressure treated wood for safe and environmentally appropriate uses. This video was produced to explain the process used to preserve wood. Cimira Studios visited four different wood treatment plants in Western Washington to tell the story of this economically important industry and valuable renewable resource. Special thanks to Allweather Wood, Exterior Wood, Inc., The Oeser Company, and Superior Wood Treating for their participation in this project.
